USF CU’s Holiday Tree Shines on Local TV; But the Best Part is Why It’s There!

If you caught Tampa’s FOX 13 News recently, you may have seen reporter Charley Belcher broadcasting live from the Winter Wonderland event at AdventHealth Center Ice and USF Credit Union’s dazzling holiday tree - shining bright for a mission that goes far beyond the season!
Winter Wonderland: A Tampa Event With Heart
Each year, Winter Wonderland transforms the AdventHealth Center Ice rink into a glittering holiday experience, where local businesses, nonprofits, and community partners decorate trees that spark joy all season long.
But behind the sparkle is something even brighter: a mission to lift up children in our community in need of a little extra joy.
Bringing Magic to Local Children
Proceeds from the event support Celebrate Birthdays Foundation, Inc., a Tampa nonprofit dedicated to making sure foster children, kids with terminal illnesses, and children in need get to experience the joy of a birthday celebration - with gifts, parties, and unforgettable moments.
So, when our USF CU holiday tree made its appearance on FOX 13, it wasn’t just a fun TV moment - it was a chance to share a little extra holiday cheer with the entire Tampa Bay community.
Experience the Magic for Yourself
If you haven’t visited Winter Wonderland, now is the perfect time. Alongside the beautifully decorated trees, you can hit the ice, soak in the sights, take part in holiday-themed public skate events and more.
Here’s everything you need to know about Winter Wonderland.
Thank You, FOX 13
We’re grateful to FOX 13 for highlighting a cause - and a community - that we’re proud to stand behind.
