USF CU CEO Rick Skaggs Continues to Help Lead the Credit Union Movement

Today, we're proud to share our President and CEO Rick Skaggs has been reelected as Chair of the 2026-27 Board of Directors for the League of Credit Unions & Affiliates, extending his leadership role within one of the nation's largest credit union organizations.

For USF CU members, that's more than a title.

Rick's role helps ensure USF Credit Union stays connected to the ideas, innovations, and advocacy efforts shaping the future of banking. Those insights help us continue improving the products, services, and experiences we deliver to our members.

“The credit union movement continues to evolve rapidly, and strong collaboration across our industry has never been more important,” Rick said following his reelection.

That spirit of collaboration has always been central to the credit union difference.

Unlike banks, credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives built to serve their members. By working together, credit unions strengthen their collective impact and create more opportunities for financial well-being in the communities they serve.

Rick's re-election reflects not only his leadership, but also the growing role USF CU plays within the credit union industry. As our organization continues to grow, we're committed to supporting innovation and helping advance the mission of people helping people.

The League represents 368 credit unions across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia. Together, those organizations serve more than 33.8 million members. As Board Chair, Rick will help guide the League’s efforts to advocate for credit unions and the communities they support.
