HOT MIC: The Branch Visit That Caught Us Off Guard (In the Best Way)

Some of the most powerful stories happen in the in-between moments - when no one is “performing,” and a member simply tells you exactly what they experienced.

That’s what happened during a recent visit from our President and CEO, Rick Skaggs, at our flagship Fletcher Branch.

A running camera captured a quiet exchange happening just off-frame - no staging, no setup, just a real conversation between a member and our team.

And what followed… said more than any script ever could.

“Stellar Experience Here!”

“I have been to all of your branches… and this is wonderful,” the member told Rick.  “I want to let you know, of the different credit unions I’ve been to, it has been a stellar experience here - both with how you handle the financial transaction… but also your HR.”

She continued, “I have not had a single experience with any person that has not been absolutely professional and wonderful.”

“I wanted to commend you, because I know that it trickles down from your expectations - and you have done an excellent job. Everyone has been wonderful.”

Then Rick responded, “Well, thank you… I’m so glad that’s been extended over to you and you feel that. That’s exactly what we’ve been trying to build here- with our culture and with our staff.  Well, I’m glad I stopped in and said hello.”
