Citrus is Us: We’re Ready to Serve!

6/2/2026

At our popular USF Credit Union Citrus Park branch, banking is just the starting point - the real story is community.

If you’ve stepped inside, you know our team will likely know your name, your story, and the rhythm of your life. Whether it’s a quick transaction after work, a conversation about your weekend plans, or helping you figure out your next financial step, this is a branch built on connection.

“We’re here for the people, for the community - helping everybody,” says Citrus Park Branch Manager Yasnay. “Creating that awareness and letting people know we’re here has made a huge impact. We’re seeing it in the numbers too - month over month growth, which is great.”

That growth, she explains, isn’t just about products or promotions. It’s about presence.

A Community That Looks Like Citrus Park

Citrus Park serves a diverse and vibrant community, including a large Spanish-speaking population, along with students and working professionals who may not work nearby but still call the area home.

“Everyone is great,” Yasnay says. “We have a mix of students and professionals. Many stop in on their way home - they do their transactions, and we get a chance to just talk for a bit before they go. That matters.”

One Team, One Goal

Inside the branch, teamwork is the foundation of everything.

“Fabian is the frontline of our team,” Yasnay says. “He handles most of the transactions when members walk in. Nestor, April, and I focus on platform services, account opening, and lending - but it’s really about unity. We’re all here to serve the members together.”

That unity shows up in every interaction - from everyday banking to life-changing moments.

Showing Up When It Matters Most

Yasnay recalls a moment that still stands out. A member came in urgently while trying to gain custody of her grandchildren. Most places were closed or unavailable at the time.

“We were still open, and we stayed late to help her,” she says. “Because of that, she was able to get her grandkids that day. That was extremely impactful.”

It’s these moments - not transactions, but turning points - that define the Citrus Park experience.

“It’s about creating a great experience and spreading the word,” Yasnay adds. “We’re here. It may not always work out immediately, but when the time comes, we’re here for you.”

The Little Things That Build Trust

For team members like Fabian, the magic is in the details. Knowing members by name. Remembering routines. Making banking feel personal.

“The members really appreciate you taking the time to know their names and habits,” Fabian says. “If I know someone comes in every two weeks for a cashier’s check, I’ll just say, ‘the usual?’ and they’ll smile and say, ‘yeah.’ It’s those little things.”

More Than a Branch - A Place of Belonging

But what stands out most is the sense of belonging.

“It really feels like a family here,” Fabian says. “Not just a cliché - this is the first place I’ve truly found my people.”

That feeling extends beyond the staff. Members often stop by just to say hello, share life updates, or bring in news - like a new car purchase or a milestone moment. Sometimes they bring the kids in for small gifts, or just to enjoy a snack and a quick chat.

Because here, banking isn’t a transaction - it’s a relationship.

People Follow People

“People follow people, not institutions,” Yasnay says. “That’s what makes us different.”

At USF CU Citrus Park, that belief shows up every day - in the conversations, the care, and the consistency of a team that shows up for its members no matter what.

And that’s what “Better Banking for All” is all about.
