USF Credit Union Reimagines Business Banking, Unveils Sleek New Card

4/24/2026

Have you heard? USF Credit Union is redefining business banking with a relationship-first approach and a sleek new business credit card coming soon that reflects the pride, ambition, and identity of the businesses it serves.

A Partnership, not a Transaction

“We really want to get to know our members and build that relationship,” says Pamela W., Assistant Vice President of Lending at USF CU. “It’s a partnership, relationship-first. We want to make sure that we’re building that trust.”

For Pamela and the USF CU business banking team, that starts with understanding that no two businesses are the same. Some owners are trying to scale quickly. Others are focused on stabilizing, restructuring, or planning for what’s next.

Either way, the goal stays the same: meet business owners where they are and help them move forward with the right tools and guidance.

Card That Reflects the Business Behind It

As USF CU continues to expand its business banking offering, the upcoming black business credit card stands out as more than just a payment tool - it’s a symbol of pride and partnership.

“It’s a sleek design, and I think it’s something you’d be proud to pull out of your wallet,” says one team member. “It’s going to be the best-looking card that you have in your wallet.”

That pride was intentional. The card was developed internally by the USF CU team, making it even more meaningful.

“I love that an internal team member—Steve—was able to create that,” Pamela adds. “I think it’s a cool thing that we’re not just coming up with a design that’s already existing somewhere—that it was created, and it’s our card. And I love that.”

More than design, the card represents what USF Credit Union is building in business banking: something intentional, distinctive, and rooted in the needs of local businesses.

Real Businesses, Real Momentum

Marissa Finney, owner of Ava’s Dog Salon in Tampa, Florida, says her relationship with USF CU started with a conversation.

“I went into my local (USF CU) branch and spoke to someone who sat me down and we discussed options - different loans, credit cards, and any way I could finance my business,” she says. “I love USF Credit Union, they’ve been great.”

That kind of experience is what the USF CU business banking team aims for: not just offering products but actually taking the time to understand what a business needs to grow.

Financing Built Around the Business

USF CU business banking is designed to flex around real-world needs, not force businesses into a one-size-fits-all box. Solutions include:

  • Lines of credit
  • Business credit cards
  • Equipment and vehicle financing
  • Term loans for growth and expansion
  • Commercial real estate financing
  • SBA loan solutions

“You work directly with a lending specialist who takes the time to understand your business and guide you to the right solution,” Pamela says.

Everyday Banking that Keeps Businesses Moving

USF CU offers business accounts designed to help owners stay organized, manage cash flow, and keep things running smoothly as they grow:

  • Business checking
  • Business savings
  • Business money market accounts

And with digital tools plus local support, business owners can stay connected to their finances wherever they are.

“We stay closely involved throughout the relationship,” Pamela says. “From the beginning, we take time to understand the business so we can deliver solutions that actually fit.”

That consistency matters most when business decisions get real.

People Helping People (Still Matters)

At its core, USF CU’s philosophy hasn’t changed.

Pamela describes it simply: “It really comes back to people helping people. That’s what a credit union is all about.”

And that shows up most when businesses are in transition - growing, adapting, or navigating uncertainty - and need a steady partner they can rely on.

Looking ahead

For Pamela, one of the most rewarding parts of the job is watching businesses grow over time- and knowing USF CU had a hand in that journey.

“It’s rewarding to help lay the foundation and then watch what businesses build from it,” she says.

At the end of the day, business banking at USF CU isn’t just about financial services. It’s about helping shape what comes next- one relationship at a time.
